We made it through our first full week! Picture Day, our first math test, and tons more. It's great to see the kids back into the groove of school.
Some announcements:
1. From Mrs. Mott - 8th Grade only: Once extra point for Social Studies if you wear red, white & blue (all 3) tomorrow to celebrate Constitution Day.
2. We still need 1 more parent chaperone to go to Saints on Wednesday, October 3rd. I will be staying at SJA while the ladies with head to OLP & gentlemen go to Saints. Students will depart SJA around 8:15 and return around 12:30.
3. The kids have been doing a great job with our new iPad routine. They may take their iPad home only if they have permission from a teacher. Please remind your students to be careful when transporting them!
4. This week, we are celebrating Fr. Gerard's 40 years as a priest!

Monday 9/17: Graduation Meeting @ 6pm in 8th grade room
Friday 9/21: 1st School Family Activity (students only)
Friday 9/21: First Surf Team Practice: 3:30-5:00pm @ north end of San Elijo state campground (bottom of the ramp just north of "pipes"). Please make sure Coach Bohman has your permission slip!
Looking ahead:
Friday 9/28: Half day, staff development meetings

Saturday 9/29: Join us for our 5th Annual Bocce Tournament & Garden Party on Saturday, 9/29 at a warm, sprawling, private residence in Rancho Santa Fe. This casual, party-atmosphere event is a celebration of our community and raises funds to benefit our students and programs. It is open to St. James families, parishioners, alumni, friends and neighbors. Space is limited, so purchase your tickets now: SJA 5th Annual Bocce Tournament.
